CALAPAN CITY—Calapan City has maintained its International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 certification for its development and quality service to the public.
Mayor Paulino Salvador Leachon said Calapenos are extremely proud of having received another ISO certification.
“This is a major achievement and a compliance milestone,” he said in a press statement.
Calapan is among four recipients of the prestigious ISO 9001 certification out of 122 local government units that vied for it.
Leachon accepted the certification in Malacañang on Jan. 16 from President Aquino.
The three other certificate recipients are Dagupan City in Pangasinan, Tanauan City in Batangas and San Fernando City in La Union.
The certificate is a recognition of the quality of the city’s public service which Lea Carpio, the city’s planning development officer, said was due to the streamlining of various processes in businesses and service delivery.
